Owen's antics

There was a toy from Frosted Flakes laying on the floor. It was a guitar hero toy that plays music when you push a button. Owen kept rolling over it to make it play music, then he would sit up and look at it. Did you hear that, people? I can make music!

We also went on a carriage ride with Daisy pulling us. Her son Howdie was pulling the other carriage.

Tennis anyone?

We had fun playing a friendly game of tennis.

The whole crew

Finally, a picture with the four of us!

Smile...or not

Ok, you can take one more picture!

Horseback riding

Horses are my absolute favorite animal! I love horseback riding, and anything to do with horses. Sam decided that he wanted to try it, so he and I went for a trail ride. His horse was smaller, but was higher in the "pecking order", so when my horse got too close, D-Boy (Sam's horse) turned around to nudge me and Mucho away. For the rest of the trail ride, the guide decided it was best to hold D-Boy's lead line, which made us feel much better!

Eric peeking at the lights

Eric had a front row spot for checking out the Christmas lights. The hotel had lights up everywhere.

More fun

The hotel had an awesome pool with dolphins shooting water. Tim, Eric, and Sam stood underneath to get the full effect.

So much history!

The French Lick Resort was built in 1902. It is so beautiful, I was trying to take pictures of everything I could, but it looked so much better in person. It was closed during the Depression. A couple of years ago it was closed for renovation. The picture of the kids walking through the stone wall was actually a walkway that was dug out through the crawl space. It was amazing how they were able to do this. We were imagining how many people had stayed in the room where we stayed. Just thinking of how many people had passed through this place over the years is amazing. There are two hotels on this property, and the other one is a dome which was just incredible! It was the named the world's largest dome. Here is the website for tons of history.http://www.frenchlick.com/about_us/history2.asp#WestBaden

Kirtan-amazing!

This was my first time ever attending a Kirtan. It was the most amazing experience! I felt so good being there, it is hard to describe. It is like singing/moving meditation. You get the effects of meditation because it feels very spiritual. I highly recommend this to anyone who has an opportunity to experience one. Apparently this is a very popular practice that is coming alive everywhere. It is a practice that has been around for centuries in India. Here is a great article in Yoga Joyful Living Magazine. http://www.himalayaninstitute.org/yogaplus/Article.aspx?id=3095

The name of the group that I saw was here:http://www.mikecohenkirtan.com/ which explains what a Kirtan is.

The kids didn't want to go with me this time. They wanted to know what it was all about when I got back. They said they may want to go next time. I can't wait for the next one!

Twilight the movie

Twilight the movie came out today, and we couldn't wait to see it. Well, we thought it definitely had some cheesiness to it, and some of the make-up was hilarious(i.e. terrible)! Sam and Eric both didn't like it that much, but I enjoyed it. Mainly because of the chemistry between Bella and Edward. I think both actors did a great job picking up on that.

Brrr, it's cold

I was unloading clothes from the dryer tonight when Eric came in saying he was so cold. So, I just kept putting more clothes on him, piling them on, until he was nice and toasty! that warmed him up quickly. Here he is in his awesome outfit.

Monkey in the middle

Tim, Sam and Eric were having a blast tonight playing monkey in the middle. I think there might have been some cheating going on with the holding.

Ta-da

Fangs

Sam grew fangs tonight.

Other ear

Sam decided that he wanted both ears pierced, so we went today to get it done.

Penguin Club

Eric and Sam hadn't been playing penguin club much at all lately. They heard that their penguins could become Ninjas, so they have been playing a lot the last few days. They figured out that they can help each other move up on the colors of the belts they earn. I love hearing them laughing, helping each other, and sharing back and forth.

Watching the rain

It was cold and rainy here today. Even though I want to complain, I really can't,because we have had nice weather all the way into November. I walked in the room to see this beautiful picture of Eric and Owen watching the rain and the looking at the trees. My heart fills with love more and more everyday when I see my kids taking time to ponder things. I love our life!

More hacky sack

Hacky Sack

Eric has been kicking the Hacky Sack around a lot the last few days, so he wanted to teach Tim how to kick it.

Another Monopoly game

Sam and Eric saw this Monopoly game and got so excited we had to buy it. We played it tonight. We love all of the Nintendo characters!

Sam's new shirt

Sam wanted me to take a picture of his new shirt-pretty cool!

Our new scroll

I absolutely love Isabella catalog and Chinaberry catalog. I found two beautiful scrolls. This is one of them, with a close up of the quote on it. It adds such a positive feel to our space.

Fun store

I can't figure out how to turn this picture, and I already dismantled the bag! Anyway, my good friend Lyn and I went to a very cool store called The Gypsy. I bought some candles, and this is the beautiful and fun packaging that I got to carry my candles home in! What a great feeling walking out of the store with this. The store was very cool, and I had a great time hanging out with Lyn. We spent the day shopping at one of a kind little shops, had lunch, and then went to see The Secret Lives of Bees, which I loved!

Is the game over yet?

Eric came in to check to see if our Monopoly game was over yet. He couldn't believe we were nowhere near being finished!

Monopoly

Sam and I started a game of Monopoly today. After about four hours, we still hadn't finished!

Madagascar

We went to see Madagascar today. We enojoyed it more than the first one. Just a few screen shots! Jada Pinkett Smith was very cute as the Hippo.

Hey in here

Eric was inside the car drinking his milkshake because he got cold, so I took his picture through the window. We thought it turned out pretty cool!
